Our Story
Hand & Hook was born from a love of crochet passed down through generations. Founder Izzy first learnt the craft from her grandma - skills later rediscovered during lockdown as a way to slow down, create with intention, and reconnect with traditional making.
Now based in Hampshire, Hand & Hook celebrates hand crochet through a modern, considered approach. Drawing on experience working in the ateliers of luxury fashion houses, Izzy blends contemporary design with heritage techniques to create thoughtfully crafted pieces.
Proudly queer-owned and rooted in craftsmanship, Hand & Hook is for those who value quality, creativity, and a fresh take on handmade.

We only use 100% natural fibres.
Our gloves are crafted from a premium wool merino blend, delivering exceptional softness and warmth. Naturally breathable and moisture-wicking, merino wool helps keep hands comfortable whilst being durable, long-lasting, and biodegradable.
Scrunchies and bandanas are made from 100% cotton, offering natural softness while remaining strong and comfortable for everyday wear.

Every piece is handmade by Izzy in Hampshire. Each item is carefully designed and crafted using traditional crochet techniques. True crochet can only be created by hand - no machine can replicate an authentic crochet stitch.

All product labels are considered and where possible made from recycled post-consumer waste. Packaging materials are thoughtfully selected to keep waste to an absolute minimum, supporting a more sustainable approach at every stage.
